NYC here we come! This has been a crazy planning process.  First we had too many people coming on our road trip then we only had 2 and no way to get there! Thanks to Steve we have a sweet ride and Krissa who is having us over.  You guys rock! God has been teaching me so much this past week.  It is hard, but good. Stay in the word because it will never disappoint you or let you down.

So this is it guys.  I have finished all my work for the semester.  It feels good, but I don't want to start the next semester knowing that it will be my last semester in college.  God is in control.  I know this in my mind, but I have to keep telling my heart to believe it.  It crazy I know, but its true. Well its about 2 AM and I should be getting some rest.

Hey everybody!!! I just wanted to thank everyone for responding to my last post.  It is really encouraging to know that other people are interested in reaching out to the lost in an effective way.  So last night I had a really good time hanging out with my friend.  We were able to pray together and have a Bible study, which is something that I have been slacking on lately.  It was really encouraging and I would encourage anyone reading this to stop now and open up the word.  Do a word study on faith, peace or love or just look at a psalm or proverb. It will help you to understand the heart of God.  God is so faithful and compassionate even when we are not.

I really don't want to get angry, but something really made me upset today. I was at work talking to a friend when she started telling me about her stepsisters.  They are born again Christians so they feel they need to tell my friend how bad she is and how she is going to hell if she doesn't change! At this point I didn't want to speak up about being a Christian because who would want to be associated with someone so hateful and condemning.  Jesus only rebuked the religious who thought they were all pious and great.  He helped those like the samaritan woman  at the well (John 4) and the adulterous woman in the hands of the pharisees (John 8). Obviously they were living lives that were not pleasing in God's sight, but God looks first to the heart of the person.  It says in 2 Timothy 2:23-24, "Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.  And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful." Condemning someone will not show them the love of Jesus or Yeshua (hebrew for Jesus). Instead we should show love through our actions. Yeshua said in John 13:34-35, "'A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." It's not about words, but its about a lifestyle filled with love.

So it is real late and I am still up.  It is a Friday night and there is so much to think about.  What really matters in this world? How do I want to live each day? So often we don't take time to contemplate these questions.  We end up drifting and being pulled places we don't want to go.  We have to be active about what it is we want to accomplish.  Don't sit back and wait for tomorrow.  Look now.  Be in constant connection to God and he will never lead you places you will regret.
